A high-cut, triple-lined winter safety boot with highest protection for very cold environments. Specially treated leather with heat resistance para-aramid thread in the seams provides a max operating heat limit of 400°C/752°F for 30 minutes and resists weld spatter. "W" in the name indicates that the boot is certified for welding. The oil and heat-resistant nitrile outer sole gives excellent grip and JALAS® aluminium toe cap, plasma-treated textile puncture protection and double impact protection zones in PORON® XRD® mean safety with every step.
Jalas 1898 are all-leather boots, therefore we can also find them in the category Leather work shoes. You can rely on high-quality Scandinavian leather, so the boots can serve for a very long time.
The boots are stitched with non-flammable Kevlar, thanks to which they have a heat-resistant upper and are suitable for welders. The individual parts are also covered so that metal or various impurities slide down the shoe and do not get caught in the folds. For greater durability, the shoes are stitched with double and triple stitching.
Thanks to the antistatic properties and compliance with the ESD standard, the boots are also classified as ESD work shoes.
The high-quality rubber outsole is not only non-slip, but also resistant to temperatures up to 300°C. The upper of the shoe, which consists of Kevlar-stitched leather, is also flame-resistant.
For easier putting on, Jalas 1898 boots are also equipped with a strap.
These winter work shoes are insulated in a truly unique way. The shoe has triple insulation consisting of Meida® thermal insulation, Polyester fur and aluminum foil. The insole is also insulated.
The shoes have increased toe protection against digging. Ideal against accidental tripping or when working while kneeling.
As we mentioned above, not only the footwear itself is insulated, but also the insole. The Jalas insole, 8244 FX2 Winter contains, in addition to Poron XRD cushioning foam, Merino wool or aluminum foil.
High-quality and durable rubber on the sole guarantees temperature resistance up to 300°C and excellent anti-slip properties.
