Specially treated leather with heat resistance para-aramid thread in the seams provides a max operating heat limit of 400°C/752°F for 30 minutes. The oil and heat-resistant nitrile outer sole means excellent grip and JALAS® composite toe cap, steel nail penetration insert and double impact protection zones in PORON® XRD® help prevent injuries.
All-leather footwear for welders from the Finnish brand Jalas represents the top of the range . These are very comfortable welding shoes made of high-quality materials.
The upper part is specially treated leather stitched with Kevlar. The leather is also coated with a small layer of protective Polyurethane.
The footwear meets the heat-resistant upper tests . The combination of high-quality leather and Kevlar perfectly protects your feet.
In addition to protection from above, protection from below is a matter of course. Jalas 1228W meets the HRO certification, i.e. the sole is resistant to 300°C.
Among the fulfilled standards, we also find SRC, i.e. anti-slip sole . We can find these guarantees stamped on the sole itself, where it says "Finnish technology", "Antistatic" and "Oil resistant".
The shoes have up to three stitching on the exposed places . Especially in frequently bent or strained places.
Jalas also applied its ProNose technology to this model - increased toe protection. This is additional protection of the tip against frequent diggin.
Fastening is a form of the BOA fit system, i.e. a rotating wheel with stainless steel fibers , which is strong and at the same time resistant to heat. Leather protection , behind which the fastening is hidden, adds to the durability.
One of the main advantages that makes Jalas so popular is the cushioning material Poron XRD in the insole. Of course, we can also find this in the 1228W model, which includes the Jalas 8202 FX2 Supreme insole . Excellent shock absorption and a comfortable footing are thus guaranteed.
The shoes also meet two orthopedic standards, ÖNORM Z 1259 and DGUV 112-191, which makes the shoes especially suitable for demanding welders who spend several hours a day in work shoes.

Add approx. 0.5 - 1 cm to the value and you will get the approximate size of the foot.
What are the real sizes?Most Jalas shoes are standard size. In the case of special shoes, such as welding or winter shoes, you can choose one size smaller. Some Jalas shoes are larger than the European standard.
